Prayer and Study
At St Mary's we believe in the priority of prayer and of Christian Study and offer a range of activities in this area.
We have two Bible Study groups - one meeting on a Monday afternoon and one on a Tuesday evening.
Those who wish may receive Bible reading notes from the Bible Reading Fellowship.
We have six Prayer Cells meeting regularly to pray for the world, for the church and for individual concerns. We are always pleased to receive prayer requests.
If you would like to find out more about Bible Study groups or Prayer Cells please contact the Church Office.
During the Autumn and during Lent we offer opportunties for learning for all ages as part of a small group.
As well as Godly Play (children's church) which meets during the main Sunday Service, there is also group for teenagers called COGs, meeting on alternate Sunday nights. (see Children & Young People).
A Confirmation course for both young people and adults is run each year. Anyone already confirmed is welcome to join as a 'refresher'.
St. Mary’s also has a policy of admitting children to communion before Confirmation and runs a short course for this when required.
For more details on all of these contact the church office 0191 251 4216 or visit our other pages.
